Highlighting a Key Supporter: Stuart Levett’s Contribution to Prime Appointments’ Alzheimer’s Fundraising Efforts

At Prime Appointments, reaching our goal of raising £250,000 for Alzheimer’s Society has been a true team effort. While the dedication of our staff and the generous contributions from our supporters are at the heart of our fundraising, friends like Stuart Levett have also been instrumental in helping us reach—and exceed—our fundraising goals.

Stuart joined our mission in 2019, when he took on the role of auctioneer at our annual golf day fundraiser. Having lost his mother to dementia in 2017, Stuart felt a personal connection to the cause and was inspired by the energy and generosity of everyone involved. Reflecting on his journey, Stuart said, “As a result of a by-chance mention of the Prime Golf Day in 2019, I was asked to help by auctioneering kindly donated items to a room of avid golfers post a hard day’s work on the course. The consumption of generosity in that room inspired me to not only repeat my very novice auctioneering skills but to help Prime raise the £250k working alongside the Alzheimer’s Society.”

Since then, Stuart has continued to bring passion and drive to our cause, using his network in private equity to help us source exclusive auction items and secure matching donations from his company, which has added tremendous value to our efforts. His partnership with us has helped to make each year’s auction a greater success, particularly in 2023, when he helped raise £43,000 with the support of CVC Capital Partners.

Stuart’s contributions are invaluable, but he’s quick to acknowledge the impact of others. “It’s my duty to say a big thank you to all of our generous donators (and bidders),” he noted, adding that it’s the generosity of the community and the tireless work of Robyn and Peter Holmes, our Managing Director and Director, that make the day such a success. Stuart expressed his gratitude for the role they play in organising the event, stating, “I want to thank Robyn and Peter, not only for the incredible work that they do for this charity for Margaret and many, many others who will benefit from the target raise, but for inviting me back again as part of the team.”

Despite a target of £10,000, Stuart’s fundraising efforts have far exceeded his expectations, with his contributions totalling a whopping £70,000. Reflecting on this achievement, he shared, “I have been blown away by not only the donated items, but personal sponsorship from my colleagues and friends. I planned to raise £10,000; however, today, I am so happy to announce that my donations now stand at £69,647, which takes the Prime Appointment raise to £260,041 and in turn this amazing amount now exceeds the £250k target set.”

Stuart’s dedication to Alzheimer’s research and support has been a powerful force behind his fundraising, and his belief in the importance of advancing medical breakthroughs in neurodegenerative diseases has kept him inspired. He highlights, “Great strides have been and are being made to find a cure. Through this work and the work of the Alzheimer’s Society, there is light at the end of the tunnel in the battle against Alzheimer’s and other dementia-related diseases.”

We are incredibly grateful to Stuart for his contributions and for standing by our side as we continue our journey. His generosity and passion remind us of the incredible impact that can be made when people rally together for a cause.

Thank you, Stuart, and thank you to everyone who has supported us along the way—this achievement is truly shared, we have loved having you as part of our fundraising team and have been truly inspired by what you have achieved! Together we're proud to support Alzheimer’s Society’s vital work, offering hope and help to those who need it most.
