Job Description & Responsibilities
The forklift driver will be responsible for moving the goods safely in addition to other duties. The work can be temporary or permanent depending on the needs of the individual and company. The primary duties include things like the following:
- Stacking large quantities of goods in a safe manner
- Transporting goods between storage and loading areas
- Stock control
- Operating a multitude of equipment from hand trucks, counterbalance forklifts, reach forklifts, cherry-pickers and pallet jacks
- General help around the warehouse

When hiring a forklift driver, most employers will be looking for someone who has at least two years’ experience working in a warehouse plus the correct forklift license. These include:
