A family run joinery company on the outskirts of Colchester are currently recruiting for a Bench Joiner.

Overview:
As a Bench Joiner, you will be working in a traditional workshop, reporting into the Workshop Supervisor and will be manufacturing bespoke products such as doors, windows plus much more.

This is a permanent role with a 3-month probation period, paying between £15 - £17 per hour, depending upon experience.

What does the position involve?

• As a Bench Joiner you will be required to read from technical drawings/cutting lists daily
• Oversee blade replacement schedules
• Regular machinery maintenance to ensure that they are running as efficiently as possible
• Reporting stock levels or machine errors to Workshop Supervisor
• Quality checking of products to ensure that they meet the company standards
• Working with colleagues on the shop floor to ensure that production deadlines are hit

Candidate requirements:

• Experience working within a joinery environment
• Proficient user of hand/power tools and woodwork machinery
• Capable of working effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Ability to read from technical drawings
