A well-established joinery company on the outskirts of Sudbury, Suffolk are recruiting for a Cabinet Maker to join their team.

This position is paying between £34,000 - £39,300 per annum, depending on experience. This will lead to a permanent role after the successful 3-month probation period.

Overview of the role:
As a cabinet maker, you will be expected to work collaboratively within a team of 16 staff, while also demonstrating the ability to work independently and report daily to the workshop supervisor.

Hours of work:
Monday - Thursday, 7:30am - 4:30pm with an early finish on Friday

Duties include:

• Using spindle moulders, tenoning machines, edge banders, speed sanding machines, crosscut saws plus much more
• Reporting stock levels to line manager
• Accurately record jobs on time sheets
• To produce kitchens and other high-end bespoke products from timber
• Ensure work is quality control checked to the required standard
• Utilise the correct machinery for the job and operate to safety guidelines
• Interpret drawings/job sheets & cutting lists

Candidate requirements:

• Ability to work individually and within a team
• Competent to read from technical drawings
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Apprenticeship, NVQ or Diploma in furniture/cabinet making or joinery is required
• Proficient user of wood working machinery, hand tools & power tools
