A leading precision‑engineering firm in Braintree is looking for an experienced CNC Miller who can both set and operate Haas and Hurco machining centres. Join a team renowned for first‑class workmanship, tight tolerances, and a culture that rewards skill and commitment.

This is a temporary to permanent position.

Main Duties

• Set up and run CNC milling machines (Haas and Hurco)

• Read and interpret detailed engineering drawings and job packs

• Carry out in‑process inspections, making offsets or tool changes as required

• Consistently achieve the highest standards of accuracy and surface finish

• Keep the work area organised, clean, and compliant with health‑and‑safety guidelines

What You'll Need

• Proven background in CNC milling, including setting and operating Haas or Hurco controls

• Confident reading complex technical drawings and measuring to microns

• Self‑motivated with a keen eye for detail and a "right‑first‑time" mindset

• Willingness to work the late shift: Monday-Thursday, 1:45 pm - 11:45 pm
