We're on the lookout for an experienced CNC Miller to join a precision engineering team in Colchester. This is a great opportunity for a skilled machinist with a background in the automotive sector, who can confidently program, set, and operate CNC milling machines.

What you'll be doing:

• Programming & Machining: Develop, edit, and optimise CNC programs using Hurco and Heidenhain controls, ensuring components meet exact engineering specifications

• Setup & Calibration: Set up tooling, fixtures, and workpieces to ensure accurate machining and alignment

• Quality Assurance: Oversee the machining process, carry out first-off and in-process inspections, and maintain tight tolerances throughout

• Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve machining issues, from tool wear and programming discrepancies to machine errors

• Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance to keep machines running at peak performance

What we're looking for:

• Experienced CNC Miller: Proven experience in programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines

• Technical skills: Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and maintain precision standards

• Programming knowledge: Confident in using Hurco and Heidenhain controls

• Problem-solving: Proactive approach to troubleshooting and resolving issues quickly and efficiently
