We are recruiting an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our client, a specialist engineering services provider supporting heavy industry and power generation companies across the UK. This is a hands-on, field-based role involving project work, reactive maintenance, fault-finding, and system overhauls-ideal for a proactive engineer with a strong background in industrial electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial and heavy industrial electrical systems

• Carry out fault-finding, rewiring, routine maintenance, and testing

• Install systems to 18th Edition Wiring Regulations standards

• Lead and assist with projects, outages, and site-based upgrades

• Provide technical consultancy and advice to clients

• Work independently and on-call as part of a rota

• Undertake workshop tasks when not in the field

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Completed a recognised Electrical Apprenticeship

• Strong experience in electrical fault-finding, repair, installation, and commissioning

• Valid UK driving licence

• Able to pass necessary security clearances

• Solid knowledge of IEE regulations, C&G 2360, 2382, and 2391 qualifications

• Prior experience in heavy industry or power generation environments

• Flexibility to work away from home and participate in on-call rota is required

• CompEx 1-4 certification desirable

• Familiarity with HV systems, motor testing, trace heating, and electrical actuators preferable
