Fitter - £13.00-£14.00 per hour - Increased overtime rates!
Location: Colchester, Essex
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 4:30pm

We are currently recruiting for a skilled Fitter to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Colchester. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in mechanical assembly, fitting, fabrication or shop fitting who's looking for a stable, long-term role in a supportive team environment based in a workshop rather than going out on site.

The Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling and converting modular units into kitchens, mobile bars, healthcare units, and so much more. You'll be confident working with tools, reading technical drawings, and working as part of a production team to meet daily build targets. This is a varied role, where no day is the same!

Key Responsibilities:

• Mechanical assembly and fitting of modular units
• Interpreting technical drawings and instructions
• Using hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Ensuring quality and precision in all work
• Supporting team members and meeting production schedules
  

Candidate Requirements:

• Experience in a similar fitter, assembler, fabrication, or mechanical role
• If you are a shop fitter but do not want to travel to site anymore, then we would be interested in hearing from you
• Good working knowledge of tools and workshop practices
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Reliable, proactive, and a strong team player

What's on Offer:

• £13.00 - £14.00 per hour (depending on experience)
• Permanent, full-time role
• Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 4:30pm
• Overtime available at x1.5
• Free on-site parking
