A client of ours in the Basildon area are recruiting an Import Operations Administrator (Air & Ocean) to join their team. This is a full-time permanent position working Monday - Friday 9.00am - 5.30pm and paying £30,000 - £32,000 per annum depending on experience.
Key Duties include but are not limited to:
- Quoting for and supervising of all relevant bookings
- Creating jobs in the company Freight Management System
- Invoicing for department
- Liaise with accounts department with any sales/cost queries.
- Assisting the Line Manager & Directors in identifying and developing of new accounts/business lanes
- Ensuring that clients satisfaction is met and if possible exceeded
- Working with the Line Manager & Directors to create and achieve departmental and personal budgets
- Assisting in managing GFC's key Airfreight & Sea Freight Accounts and being involved periodic meeting with the clients
- Working within and in accordance with rules governing a known agent and their relevant status
- Assisting the Line Manager & Directors in development of the department
Skills and Experience required to be considered for this Import Operations Administrator (Air & Ocean) position:
- Extensive general knowledge of all aspects of shipping.
- FCL & LCL Ocean Import Freight, including end to end documentation
- Excellent communication skills
- Logistics distribution and supply chain industry experience essential
- Air &Ocean Export knowledge is desirable.
