Key Account Manager

A Distribution company in Chelmsford are recruiting a Key Account Manager to join their team ASAP!
Paying £12.80-£13.80 per hour (£25,000 - £27,000 per annum) depending on experience.
This is a Temporary-Permanent position working Monday - Thursday 9.00am - 5.30pm and Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm.

Key Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of accounts, building strong relationships with customers.
  • Retain existing customers and identify opportunities for repeat business.
  • Handle incoming enquiries, quotes, and order processing, ensuring that sales opportunities are captured and converted into sales.
  • Ensure all inboxes are maintained and the ticketing systems.
  • Escalating any issues to the relative department for guidance.
  • Negotiating returns with suppliers/manufacturers and processing.

Skills and Experience required to be considered for this Key Account Manager position:

  • Previous sales and account management experience.
  • Ability to upsell opportunities from sales orders to drive additional revenue.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g. HubSpot, Salesforce) is desirable, knowledge of NetSuite would be beneficial (full training provided.)
  • Ability to take initiative and to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to form good working relationships with people.
