Packing Line Operative - £12.62ph - Temp to Perm - Outskirts of Colchester

We are currently recruiting for a Production Line Worker on behalf of a well-established and fast-growing company based on the outskirts of Colchester. Specialising in the production of food-based goods, this company is offering a long-term opportunity with excellent career prospects.

Job Overview:
This is a temp-to-perm role suited to individuals seeking stable, long-term employment. Experience is not essential-what matters most is a positive attitude, reliability, and a willingness to work as part of a busy production team.

Due to the rural location and lack of public transport, having your own transport is essential.

Duties of the Packing Line Operative will include:

• Working on various stages of the production line, including loading, checking, and packing

• Inspecting and grading raw materials

• Maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness

• Following legal and company food hygiene regulations

• Final packing and stacking of products

• Carrying out any reasonable tasks requested by supervisors or management

Ideal Packing Line Operative Candidate Profile:

• Previous experience in a manufacturing and production or an FMCG environment is desirable

• Flexible and reliable with a good work ethic

• Able to work weekends and weekdays in line with the shift pattern

• Good communication skills and a strong eye for detail

• Local to Colchester with own transport

• Willing and able to work overtime when required

Working Hours & Pay:

• 4 on, 4 off day shifts (7:00am - 6:00pm), including weekends

• £12.62 per hour

• Overtime available at enhanced rates

• Free on-site parking
