We have a fantastic opportunity for a Plant Mechanic to join a growing team working within a Plant Hire company based in the Southend-on-Sea area. The company are looking for someone to maintain, diagnose, and repair a range of construction and heavy-duty plant equipment.

• Hours are 7.30am - 5.00pm Monday to Friday

Duties:

• Diagnose, service, and repair plant equipment, including diggers, dumpers, woodchippers, concrete crushers, skip loaders, and hydraulic tracked trenchers.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify faults, troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic and electrical systems as required.
• Perform scheduled maintenance to reduce the risk of breakdowns.
• Maintain records of all repairs, services, and inspections carried out.
• Provide technical advice and guidance to customers on equipment usage and maintenance.

Skills & Experience:

• Must have experience as a Plant Mechanic or similar with a good knowledge of construction and heavy plant equipment.
• Must be proficient in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• The ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics is essential.
• NVQ Level 2/3 in Plant Maintenance or equivalent would be preferable with strong problem-solving skills.
• A valid UK driving license is essential
