Processing Operative - Temp to Perm - £16.30ph - 30 Hours Per Week - Own Transport Required

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a respected food manufacturing company based in the Essex countryside, situated between Maldon and Tolleshunt D'Arcy.

This position is offered on a temp-to-perm basis, with the initial three months through Prime Appointments, followed by a transition to permanent employment.

Position Overview of the Processing Operative:

• Pay Rate: £16.30 per hour
• Working Hours: 6:30 am - 12:30 pm, five days per week (fixed days, may include one weekend day)
• Flexibility: Shift patterns may vary in the future
• Transport: Own transport is essential due to the rural location

Key Responsibilities of the Processing Operative:

• Operate production machinery safely and efficiently
• Carry out visual quality checks on products
• Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and site protocols
• Complete production documentation accurately
• Operate pallet and pump trucks as required
• Set up, calibrate, and adjust machinery as needed
• Carry out physically demanding production tasks
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in all work areas
• Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations

Candidate Requirements:

• Previous experience in manufacturing and production preferred
• Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks
• Valid counterbalance forklift licence is an advantage
• Must have own transport
• A team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills
• Willingness to work overtime when required
• Flexible and adaptable to changing shift patterns
