A well established, successful family run Electronics manufacturing company in the Southend-on-Sea area are looking to recruit a Production Manager to manage a team of electronics manufacturing staff. They are ideally looking for someone to join the Management team ideally from an electronics background who will be hands on leading the team as well as looking at improvements including updating the production planning process.

• Hours of work 8.00 - 5.00 Monday to Thursday finishing at 1.00 on a Friday

Duties:

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 14 electronics production staff including SMT, Through hole assembly and test and enclosure preparation
• Plan and monitor production schedules to ensure adequate staffing and equipment availability
• Manage production flow and take on responsibility for the development and installation of a new planning system.
• Monitor daily output and activity to identify and resolve potential bottlenecks or inefficiencies.
• Manage subcontract works
• Monitor staff holiday/sickness etc.
• Manage quality within in the department

Skills & Experience Required:

• Extensive experience in a similar role ideally with electronic assembly and test however will consider candidates with other industry experience
• Must be able to hit the ground running
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
• Experience using an MRP or similar software preferable
• Must be an excellent team leader, being able to lead by example working alongside the existing team
• Must have good written and verbal communication skills, able to motive others
