Production Operative
Location: Witham, Essex
Shift Pattern: 5-shift rotating system (24/7 operation)

We are pleased to be partnering with a major player in the sustainable waste management sector who is currently recruiting for Production Shift Operators for a state-of-the-art facility near Witham, Essex.

As part of the operational team, the Production Shift Operator will support the safe, efficient, and compliant running of the facility.

Key Responsibilities of the Production Operative:

• Promote and support a Safety First culture throughout the site
• Coordinate activities with external systems and ensure clear roles and responsibilities are in place
• Ensure facility performance meets environmental standards and compliance limits
• Monitoring production equipment and reporting any issues
• Work to SOPs and production targets
• Manage consumables, additives, and waste bunker levels to maintain operational efficiency
• Oversee safe and compliant residue disposal processes
• Assist in executing maintenance and compliance activities as per scheduled plans
• Operate the Digital Control System (DCS) as required

Experience and Qualifications required of the Production Operative:

• GCSEs A-C (or equivalent) in Science, Maths, English or a related subject (or equivalent industry experience)
• A minimum of 2 years' relevant experience (Power, FMCG, Fast Paced Production, Continuous Process Production)
• Experience with computer-based control systems
• Working knowledge of integrated safe systems of work is desirable
• An interest in complex mechanical or electrical systems would be an advantage
• Strong safety and environmental awareness
• Due to limited public transport, access to personal transport is essential
