Production Operative - £12.62 per hour - Temp to Perm - Outskirts of Colchester

We are currently recruiting for a Production Operative on behalf of a well-established and fast-growing company based on the outskirts of Colchester. Specialising in the production of food-based goods, this company offers a long-term opportunity with strong prospects for career development.

Job Overview:
This is a temp-to-perm position ideal for individuals looking for stable, long-term employment. Previous experience is not required, what matters most is a positive attitude, reliability, and the ability to work well as part of a busy production team.

Please note: due to the rural location and lack of public transport, access to your own transport is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Working across various stages of the production line, including loading, checking, and packing
• Inspecting and grading raw materials
• Maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness
• Adhering to legal and company food hygiene standards
• Completing final packing and stacking of finished goods
• Supporting supervisors and management with additional tasks as required

Candidate Profile:

• Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, or FMCG environment is desirable
• Flexible, reliable, and committed to maintaining high work standards
• Comfortable working both weekdays and weekends as part of a shift pattern
• Good communication skills with strong attention to detail
• Based locally to Colchester with own transport
• Willing and able to work overtime as needed

Working Hours & Pay:

• 4 on, 4 off shift pattern (7:00am - 6:00pm), including weekends , which are reduced hours
• £12.62 per hour
• Overtime available at enhanced rates
• Free on-site parking
