Quality Inspector - Aerospace Manufacturing - 4 Day Working Week!

Location: Southend
Salary: Up to £35,000

The Role:

As a Quality Inspector, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out inspections, qualifications, First Article Inspections (FAIR), testing, and release activities on products prior to booking into Finished Goods

  • Conducting detailed inspections of manufactured parts to ensure compliance with QMS and adherence to manufacturing routing and quality plans

  • Ensuring product traceability, batch control, and proper handling of materials to meet regulatory and internal standards

  • Applying the Release Stamp in line with QMS Stamp Control Procedures

  • Monitoring and reporting on subcontractor performance, as well as scrap and rework data to support continuous improvement initiatives

  • Performing testing and inspections such as Gauge R&R studies, hardness testing, conductivity testing, and bridge testing

  • Working collaboratively with customers and suppliers to resolve product or quality-related concerns and drive improvements

Experience and Skills:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Proven experience in quality engineering within aerospace manufacturing or a similar precision engineering environment

  • Proficiency in using a range of measurement tools and equipment, including micrometers, Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), and tensile testing machines

  • Solid understanding of ISO9001:2008 and AS9100 standards

  • A strong background in inspection, testing, and product release processes

  • Excellent communication skills and a keen eye for detail
