A leading electronics engineering company, based on the outskirts of Colchester, is seeking a Senior Electronic Hardware Design Engineer to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer to lead complex product development projects, designing, developing, and testing high-performance hardware solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define product specifications with Product Management
• Lead the design of digital, analogue, and RF hardware using Altium Designer
• Perform component selection, simulation, and testing
• Debug and validate hardware using lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analysers)
• Collaborate with mechanical/software teams for integration
• Manage complex product development projects from concept to production
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical support

Qualifications:

• Degree in Electronic Engineering (or equivalent experience)
• Proven experience as a Senior Electronic Hardware Design Engineer with expertise in Altium Designer and PCB layout
• Strong knowledge of high-speed signal design, RF, and EMI/EMC considerations
• Hands-on experience with debugging tools and lab equipment
• Knowledge of FPGA design or microcontroller systems is a plus
