An international company who manufactures complexed systems used for navigation are looking to recruit a Software Test Engineer to be responsible for the build and test of software to support the company's products and services. Duties:
- Build and test software to support the company's products and services.
- Be responsible for producing and maintaining software build and software test specifications.
- Act as technical liaison within the company and for customers, and collaborators on software related matters.
- Assist in the improvement and testability of software.
Skills:
- Must have a good Engineering Degree with Software Content or equivalent
- Candidates with extensive experience in a similar role without a degree may be considered
- Must have practical experience of testing software for PCs running Windows.
- Experience of writing test plans, specifications, and reports is essential
- Experience of building software & software installers desirable
- Experience in similar position within a Technical/Engineering organisation preferred.
- Knowledge of scripting/programming languages to help automate builds and testing.
- Must be willing to travel occasionally to visit and sail with ships in the UK and abroad.
Due to the nature of the business you will be required to be a British Citizen with 5 years traceable history.
