Senior Consultant

Technical Sales Engineer

£40,000 - £50,000 p/a

Our client is a leader in providing repairs, installations, and engineering consultancy services heavy engineering. Clients span industries such as power generation, petro-chemical, aggregate, utilities, large process plants, and logistics. They are now looking to recruit a qualified and experienced Technical Sales Engineer / Estimator to sell our company's M&E services. The role requires a strong background in estimating, as well as procuring new business opportunities in both the manufacturing and fabricating workshop, and field service activities.

Duties:

  • Attend customer sites to scope, measure, and qualify materials from engineering drawings and specifications producing quotations, pricing, and tender bids
  • Manage client relationships maintaining communication with clients throughout the process
  • Follow sales action plans and strategies to achieve monthly sales targets
  • Resolve customer complaints effectively
  • Conduct proactive sales calls to generate more sales
  • Attend weekly sales meetings
  • Promote the business brand consistently
  • Ensure timely delivery of information

Experience:

  • Must have experience in sales/estimation within a similar engineering or manufacturing environment
  • Ability to produce quotations and conceptual designs/sketches is essential
  • Must have great communications skills, highly literate and numerate, with commercial acumen
  • Must have confidence in dealing directly with decision makers and customers
  • Proficiency in CRM, CAD software, and other sales tools along with Microsoft office applications
  • Flexible and adaptive to changing requirements
  • Must have a focus on quality and the ability to emphasize its importance
  • An understanding of technical drawings, manufacturing methods, and engineering principles is required
  • Industry experience in machining and fabrication services would be desirable
  • Ability to strengthen customer relationships and develop new business opportunities is preferable
  • Skilled in producing presentations to promote new products and services
  • Competence in compiling quotations and sales specifications

Benefits:

  • Salary £40,000 - £50,000
