Prime Appointments are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and successful manufacturer based in Braintree, Essex. We are looking for a reliable and motivated Factory Operative to join their production team on an ongoing temporary basis, with the potential for long-term opportunities for the right candidate.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous manufacturing or production experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is keen to develop their skills.

Factory Operative Duties

As a Factory Operative, your responsibilities will include:

• Operating production machinery safely and efficiently.
• Removing finished products from machines and preparing them for the next stage of production.
• Supporting the smooth running of the production line and reporting any issues to supervisors.
• Assisting skilled machine operators with manufacturing tasks.
• Learning to operate a variety of machinery through on-the-job training.
• Helping in other areas of the factory when required.
• Maintaining a clean and organised work area while following all health and safety procedures.

The Ideal Candidate

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
• A willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities.
• A reliable and hardworking attitude with a commitment to long-term work.
• Flexibility to support different areas of the factory as needed.
• Availability to start immediately.

Hours, Pay & Benefits

• Monday to Friday
• 7:00am - 4:00pm (finish times may vary slightly depending on production requirements)
• £12.71 per hour
• Weekly pay
• Ongoing temporary assignment with the potential for long-term opportunities
• Supportive working environment with full training provided
