Logistics Coordinator

A large manufacturing company based on the outskirts of Diss, Norfolk are looking to recruit for a Logistics Coordinator to join their team on a permanent basis.

Overview of the role:
You will be reporting into the Distribution Manager, whilst ensuring that the products are distributed in a timely manner across the UK and beyond.

What does the role involve?

• As a Logistics Coordinator you will be required to plan and arranging of shipments to ensure the most cost effect result is completed based on the customer delivery requirements
• Preparation of documentation to allow shipments to take place
• Liaise with the sales department internally to obtain quotes and best transport routes are followed
• Speaking with customers and teams internally regarding despatch of customer orders
• Work closely with packaging department so that the most efficient packing methods
• Promoting and setting high standards for health & safety across the site
• Providing support to the distribution manager where required such as administration duties

Applicant Requirements:

• Experience working within a logistics environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Good administrative skills and high attention to detail
• Proficient user of all MS programs including Teams, Powerpoint, Word, Outlook and Excel
• Ability to work well individually and as part of a wider team
