Quality Inspector (Nights) - Aerospace Manufacturing

Location: Basildon, Essex
Salary: Up to £50,000 including 33% shift premium + Overtime
Hours: Monday-Thursday 7:30pm-4:30am | Friday 2:30pm-7:30pm

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quality Inspector, Mechanical Inspector or CMM Inspector to join a leading aerospace manufacturer in Basildon. Working within a modern precision engineering environment, you'll inspect aerospace components to ensure they meet customer and AS9100 quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out first-off, in-process and final inspection
• Complete FAIRs to AS9102 standards
• Use precision measuring equipment including verniers, micrometers, bore gauges, height gauges and DTI
• Interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Support quality improvements and Right First Time initiatives
• Work closely with production and engineering teams

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience as a Quality Inspector, Mechanical Inspector or CMM Inspector
• Aerospace or precision engineering background
• Able to read engineering drawings
• Experience with AS9102 FAIRs
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and/or AS9100
• CMM experience beneficial but not essential
