CNC Turner / CNC Programmer Setter Operator

£17.00 - £20.00 per hour + Overtime + Bonus

Are you an experienced CNC Turner looking for a stable, long-term opportunity with a busy and growing precision engineering company?

Our client is a well-established subcontract machining business supplying high-quality components to industries including Aerospace, Motorsport, Medical, Oil & Gas and Commercial Engineering. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced CNC Turner to programme, set and operate CNC lathes within their modern machine shop.

This role would suit a skilled CNC Programmer, Setter and Operator with experience working to tight tolerances and producing high-precision components.

What's on Offer?

• £17.00 - £20.00 per hour depending on experience
• Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm

The Role

• Programming, setting and operating CNC lathes
• Working on Doosan turning centres
• Proving out new jobs and optimising cycle times
• Producing precision-machined components to customer drawings
• Working to tight tolerances, including down to 20 microns
• Carrying out first-off and in-process inspection
• Ensuring components meet quality and specification requirements
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment

What We're Looking For

• Previous CNC Turning experience is essential
• Experience programming, setting and operating CNC lathes
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Experience working to tight tolerances
• Knowledge of Doosan, Puma, Haas or similar CNC machinery would be advantageous
• Online programming experience preferred, although training can be provided
• Apprentice trained candidates are welcomed, although proven industry experience is more important
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards
