  • Use handheld metrology and optical/3D scanning as needed
  • Make conformity, containment, and release decisions on complex quality issues
  • Lead non-conformance investigations, MRRs, root cause analysis, and CAPA
  • Support 8D problem-solving for customer returns or escapes
  • Take part in third-party and regulatory audits (ISO, CAA, FAA), representing the business with customers and suppliers
  • Improve inspection methods, documentation, and quality processes
  • Mentor Quality Inspectors and production teams

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Experience as a Quality Inspector in precision engineering, ideally aerospace
  • Advanced CMM programming and operation (PC-DMIS preferred)
  • Strong interpretation of engineering drawings, GD&T, and specifications
  • Experience producing and maintaining FAIRs (VisualFAIR an advantage)
  • Able to explain quality findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Sound judgement and strong problem-solving in quality decisions

Desirable

  • Formal qualifications in Engineering, Metrology, or Quality
  • Experience with optical tracking or 3D scanning systems
